Thermal insulation of surfaces has many benefits, including:

Protects from concrete cracks and cracks.
In addition, because the thermal insulation saves electricity greatly, because it reduces the use of air conditioners and fans significantly and clearly.

First: the use of cellulose in thermal insulation

It is considered one of the most important and best materials for thermal insulation of ceilings because it is very much insulated, in addition to its ability to resist fires and that it is hygienically and environmentally safe and its price is appropriate.

Second: Method of insulation with foam or (polyurethane)

It is one of the finest types of thermal insulation as its density is light, and it plays its role in isolating heat without harm to the environment, as well as fire resistance and is sprayed on surfaces. This method has the ability to isolate the smallest hard-to-reach places in other types of thermal insulation.

There are two types of polyurethane for insulation (sprayed polyurethane) and (solid polyurethane sheets) and the material is manufactured by chemical reactions.

Third: polystyrene sheets

It is made from several organic chemicals. It is considered environment friendly and comes in the form of blocks, then it is cut and installed and has a smooth, beautiful surface that is not available in any other type of thermal insulation. It is characterized by isolating water and sound at the same time.

Polystyrene is classified as one of the first class insulators globally for heat, water and sound, and it is installed in most European and developed countries.

Fourth: glass wool or (fiberglass)

It comes in the form of flexible, hard or cylindrical panels and is most used for insulating pipes and tanks in hot and cold countries.

It is a very thin pressed glass fibers known as (fiberglass) and is an environmentally friendly material that is not affected by temperature.

Fiberglass is used in developed countries in construction, where it is mixed with concrete materials, reducing weight and load on buildings and also isolating heat.

When installing (fiberglass) must follow the rules of safety and security and wear special clothing to protect from the dangers of splinting, as it is made of glass, so if not handled with care it can harm the lung or eyes.

Fifth: Rock wool:

It is made of basalt, which is a natural mineral and comes in the form of flexible panels and resembles glass wool or fiberglass in the external form. It is used as sound and thermal insulation.

One of its major drawbacks is its ability to absorb water, and its ability to isolate gradually decreases.

It is not preferable to use rock wool in places where the climate is very volatile or very high temperature because of its inability to isolate in these conditions.
